weekly 2024.2.18
We will start with the only non-basketball pictures I have this week.
Beautiful Valentines roses in my favorite color and a mystery carnation delivered to Bekah at school from anonymous. This pleased her to no end, but also made her crazy -wondering who sent it.
I made little paper Valentines for my kiddies at school, with a piece of chocolate taped on them.
It was very heart warming to see how thrilled they were to get them. One second grade boy was especially cute, "I LOVE IT! THANKS MISS FARR!"
(Southerners always say Miss not Mrs. I don't know why, but they do.)
In other school related news, we've had two different lockdowns at school this week. Someone was shooting a gun at the courthouse which is a mile away and the next day there was some issue with a parent at another school shooting at a neighbor and the police were trying to find the shooter. I can kind of understand the first lockdown, but the second was seemed a little like overkill.

Things are starting to bloom in our yard.
Including lots of weeds, but we will focus on the pretty blue flowers.

We've had a man in our apartment since January 2nd. He just left on Friday and wow, did he leave it a mess up there. Some people are just gross.

And now our final week of basketball! The JV season is over but Bekah has been asked to continue helping a little with Varsity, so she will continue on for a bit. It's been a fun season. Due to the crazy team situation, Bekah was able to get a lot of time on the court, which she's needed. She's learned a lot and come a long way this season. She's been banged around and bruised and scratched, and possibly still has a broken finger, but she's loved every second of it.
We had a big crowd for our hometown rivalry game. Stick and I are under the red arrow. We always gets the best seats in the house because JV girls play first on game days.
Now that basketball is over I have no clue what I'm going to write about next week!
