2024.5.5 weekly
We've had a pretty slow week.
I finally took Bekah to the doctor for the sore fingers that we suspected she broke back in December but refused to go to the doctor for. After one regular doctor visit and one specialist visit, it was determined that the fingers were not broken but they're definitely still hurt. They said it can sometimes take 6-8 months for fingers to heal. (Not awesome.) She's also having some stomach issues, but all the bloodwork came back normal so the next stop will be a Pediatric GI.
Bekah worked again yesterday at the Farmer's Market. They had told her it would probably be a while before they called her back to work again since she was at the bottom of the employment ladder, but then there she was, two weeks in a row.
After 12 hours of working, she came home, quickly ate dinner, changed clothes and then went to our church for a two-stake Star Wars themed dance. Then in her dance fueled enthusiasm she invited a bunch of kids over to our house to watch Star Wars after the dance. They all showed up around 10pm. When I gave her permission for this activity, I had forgotten that we had guests in our Airbnb.
A LOT of kids showed up, mostly boys, and they were SO loud and crazy and no one was watching the movie. I was in our room sweating bullets at all the noise they were making and praying that our guests couldn't hear them, which seemed highly unlikely. At some point during the first hour, Bekah's adrenaline wore out and she got really tired after her very long day and she wanted everyone to just go home, haha. We kicked them out at midnight and I prayed that we weren't going to get a bad review on Airbnb.
I did have to laugh this morning to discover the evidence of the wild party in our kitchen.
Stick has been busy with work, church, the yard and this week he's fixing the tractor and stove top.
I'm teaching my last week of seminary this coming week and it's also my last week of tutoring at school. I've pulled a million weeds this week and spent a lot of time being a total grouch, thank you menopause.
That's it for us!
